Golay thanks Supreme Court for deletion of observations
IPR, GANGTOK, FEBRUARY 8, 2023: Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang in his official page on Wednesday thanked and expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court for their understanding of the sentiments of the people of Sikkim and deleting “all the references to Nepali of Sikkimese origin as foreigners or migrants in its judgment dated January 13, 2023.”
The court also clarified that “the judgment did not touch upon Article 371F of the Constitution which grants special status to Sikkim,” said the Chief Minister.
