Flights to resume from Pakyong airport on March 26, says Sikkim BJP

PRAKASH ADHIKARI, EOI, GANGTOK, FEBRUARY 24, 2023 : Flights from Pakyong Airport will resume from March 26.. SpiceJet will fly only on the Pakyong-Delhi route to start with.
The Sikkim State BJP informed about this on Friday in its official page. It credited Union Minister Piyush Goyal who had visited Sikkim recently for having taken the initiative.
The BJP wrote: "The state visit of Union Minister Piyush Goyal was very fruitful to the Sikkimese people. When the issue of Pakyong Airport was raised before him during the meeting at the Secretariat on 17th February, he immediately talked to the Civil Aviation Ministry and asked them to resume flight service as early as possible.
Yesterday, the Director of Pakyong Airport announced that Spicejet will resume its non- stop service from 26March 2023.We, on behalf of Sikkim and Sikkimese people, would like to express our sincere gratitude to Piyush Goyal as well as the Civil Aviation Ministry for their immediate and effective action into the matter
