Sevoke - Rangpo railway project worker found dead

YOWAN MOTHAY, EOI, KALIMPONG, JANUARY 9, 2023 : A construction worker engaged in the Sevoke - Rangpo Railway Project was found dead in Melli on the National Highway 10 on Monday morning. He was found dead in the drain of the turn towards Jorethang near the highway. The Kalimpong Police said the dead worker was identified as Majnu Ansari, a resident of Hatipota in Alipurduar. He was working as a pump conductor with one of the private companies engaged in the project.According to the police, the worker was on duty from 8p.m. on Sunday to 8 a.m. on Monday but he left at 3 a.m. on Monday. The death could be because of too much alcohol.
