Bike riding Mobile phone snatchers arrested in Siliguri: 2 arrested for snatching mobilephone from woman

EOI, SIIGURI, JANUARY 14, 2023: Policemen in plain clothes from the Matigara police station on Saturday arrested two people for snatching the mobile phone of a woman who was returning home from the market at Medical More on January 11 evening. Two criminals arrived in a scooter, hit her, snatched the mobile phone and fled. The woman lodged a complaint with the Matigara Police Station. Within a day, the police arrested the two people. 

KalimNews: The police statement adds that on 11 January this year at around 7.30 hrs in the evening, one lady of Kadamtala, PS Matigara, Darjeeling while returning home from Medical More bazaar, when she reached in front of White Place Bhawan near Sanyashi More under Matigara PS two unidentified miscreants in a motorcycle pushed her and snatched her mobile phone.

The Investigating Officer SI Gautaum Mallik and his team worked diligently on this case and arrested the two miscreants named Pranoy Roy and Akash Pradhan both of Chaitanyapur, Shiv Mandir, PS Matigara within 24 hours and recovered the stolen mobile phone from their possession.It also has added that due to relentless effort of Pradhannagar PS & Siliguri PS, Siliguri Police Commissionerate could recover 50 lost cell phones and handed over them to their rightful owners.
