Integrated Communication & Outreach Programmes (ICOP) at Mungpoo


EOI, SILIGURI, JAN 30, 2023:  Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Siliguri under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, organized three days Integrated Communication &Outreach Programmes (ICOP) at Mungpoo Community Hall. 
Speaking on the occasion, Bishnu Mangrati, Secretary, District Legal Service Association, Kalimpong stated that DLSA provides legal aid, legal counseling to the weaker section of the society whose annual income is below One lakh. 
He also said that every individual is protected bylaw and the Constitution of India. Field Officer, Sudip Sharma, Darjeeling Central Cooperative Bank, spoke on the Kisan Credit Card scheme which aims to pro-viding adequate and timely credit support to the farmers. He also said that an individual can benefit up Rs.1 lakh to Rs.1.50Lakh. 
Similarly, resource person, Health Senior Supervisor Shri Rupesh Tamang ,Takda Health Center said that it is the duty of all citizens to give high priority to Pradhan Mantri TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan which was virtually launched by President of India Droupadi Murmu on 9th September, with an objective to eliminate the disease by 2025. 
It is TB that has caused the largest number of deaths among all other infectious diseases in our country, he said. He also revealed that various free medical facilities have been provided to the TB patient by the Government and urged those individuals suffering from TB to take advantage of those facilities.
Later Rabi Rai, spoke on Plastic Free India and said that Govt. of India has come up with ban on single- use plastic from 1st July, 2022.He further appealed to the audience to join hands in making India a Plastic-free country.
