PR, KalimNews, Kalimpong, 16 December 2022: During the three days Small ICOP at Dungra Community Hall Kalimpong, Regional Officer organised “Vijay Diwas” commemorating victory of Indian Force over Pakistan during 1971.
Rett. Col. Ramesh Alay enlighten the crowd that the 16th December is a day recognised to honour the valour of soldiers and on this day India emerged triumphant against Pakistan in 1971 war and this year commemorates the 51st anniversary of the victory.
Even today, the historic victory is celebrated with pride and zeal across the country.
Rett. Assistant Commandant , BSF PK Pradhan and Halder Ganesh Kr, Chettri war veterans of 1971 shared their historic war victory to the audience.
Shri Patras Rai, Field Officer Darjeeling Central Cooperative Bank spoke on the Kisan Credit Card scheme which aims to providing adequate and timely credit support to the framer. He also said that individual can benefit up Rs.1 lakh to Rs.150 Lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, resource person Shri.Dilip Kr, Gurung (Health Supervisor) said that it is the duty of all citizens to give high priority to 'Pradhan Mantri TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan' which was virtually launch by President of India Droupati Murmu on 9th September,2025 with an objective is to eliminate the disease by 2025.
It is TB that has cause the largest number of deaths among all other infectious diseases in our country. He also made aware that various free medical facilities have been provided to the TB patient by the Government so it is duty of individual who are suffering from TB to take the advantage of such facilities.
Later Smt.Munju Bhujel Coordinator Dungra SHG, deliver speech on Plastic Free India, she said that government of India has come up with ban on single-use plastic that have low from 1st July,2022 she also mention that ban is to curb plastic pollution. she also asked the audience to join their hand in this movement in making Plastic free India.
