Police initiative in Kalimpong to rehabilitate drug addicts

Yowan Mothay, EOI, KALIMPONG, DEC 28, 2022:  Kolkata Police have extended to Kalimpong district the ‘Suddhi Project’ to eliminate addiction and rehabilitate drug addicts. Under the project, Kolkata Police have rehabilitated more than 350 drug addicts.
Now the project has been extended to some of the districts of West Bengal. To support the ‘Shuddhi Project’ in Kalimpong, Supershakti Foundation on Wednesday presented a cheque of Rs 8 lakh to NGO ‘HANDS’ under its corporate social responsibility activities. Reputed hockey player Dhanraj Pillay was present on the occasion, together with Superintendent of Police Kalimpong Aparajita Rai.
