
Binoy Tamang resigns from TMC after one year of entry. Alleges controlling of hill politics controlled by Trans frontier outfits

KalimNews, Darjeeling, 28 December 2022: Binoy Tamang, TMC leader as hinted yesterday resigned from Trinamool Congress. Releasing a press release he stated that, democracy in the hills is in threat and Trans frontier outfits are controlling hill politics by controlling some of the hill leaders.
Just after Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha took control of the Darjeeling Municipality after a floor test for vote of no confidence against the ruling Hamro Party he released the press report of his resignation.
In the release, he further mentions that the Hills in terms of national unity and security is gradually becoming more sensitive.
He even has stated that he is willing to shed his blood and sweat for the people of the hills. He also stated that he wants to work to return democracy to the hills, to prevent corruption and to give constitutional rights to the people of the hills for the rest of his life..
However, Binoy did not reveal anything about his future political career, rather he states the possibility of making his future plans public within a few days.
He also has urged the state government to take action against undemocratic activities and corruption going in the hills.
Binoy has appealed to Mamata Banerjee to take quick action, terming the matter as 'very serious'.
Lately Binoy Tamang was distancing himself from his party and even giving statements contrary to his party's decision. He hinted that one of the commissioner of Darjeeling Municipality.
Binoy Tamang had taken the flag of TMC about a year ago. But recently, some of Binoy Tamang's activities were revealing that he is distancing himself from the party.
Binoy was present at the Gorkhaland seminar in Delhi this month and also in Gorkha Swabhiman programme organised yesterday by Ajoy Edwards party. Regarding the Darjeeling municipality episode Binoy had warned that Sanjay Gurung, Councillor of ward 5 of Darjeeling Municipality was selected by him and Sanjay should not support BGPM for forming the Board of Darjeeling municipality,. He may resign from the party, if Sanjay supports the BGPM. It is noteworthy to mention that AITMC had stated that TMC councillors will support BGPM.
While the 2 lone councillors of Trinamool Congress supported BGPM to form the new board, Binoy's position makes it practically clear that he was going to defect.
In the release issued in English he stated that I am secluded myself from All India Trinamool Congress from today the 28th December 2022. Its Nepali version.
He mentions, "I am ready to accept any disciplinary action if the party impose on me anytime.
Democracy in Darjeeling is under great threat now. Trans frontier Political outfits are remoting some of the leaders of Darjeeling Hills and foothills of Darjeeling District. It's a matter of great concern for nation's security, Integrity and sovereignty."
"In order to restore democracy , to stop corruptions and to achieve the constitutional justice to the people of Darjeeling Hills Terai and Dooars and the Gorkhas - l will pay my blood, toil, tears and sweats with utmost sincere and honesty and l am dedicating rest of my life for my Communities and the people of this region."
"Next phase of my political activities will be on ground of reality very soon.
I am anticipating the political , diplomatic and administrative measures from the TMC led Government of West Bengal on undemocratic activities and wide range of corruptions. I urge and request Ms Mamata Banerjee , Hon'ble Chief Minister and Chairperson of AITC to take prompt and necessary steps on these serious issues"
