4 killed as car falls from hill near Kurseong

EOI | DARJEELING | OCTOBER 31, 2022 : Three people died on the spot and five others sustained injuries when a vehicle met with an accident at Sepoydhura near Kurseong town on Monday afternoon.

According to sources the incident took place when the vehicle, a Spacio, was travelling from Siliguri to Sonada.

The vehicle fell about 15 metres below the road with a total of eight passengers. The injured were admitted to the Kurseong subdivisional hospital.

Among those who lost their lives were Sabita Lepcha from upper Pachyang, Bina Rai from Gorabari and Swastika Tamang from Garigoan in Sonada.

KN: One more severely injured person referred to Siliguri died, making the death toll to 4.
