Staff Reporter, The Hitavada, 22 October 2022: The Synod of the Church of North India has removed Suresh C Jacob and Piyush Paul Singh from all the concerned bodies within the structure of Church of North India (CNI). According to the Synod of the Church of North India, in the special executive meeting held on October 14, 2022, it was opinionated that Suresh C. Jacob and Piyush Paul Singh, both the members of the CNI Synod Executive Committee, had lost their moral ground to represent in any position within the structure of the Church of North India.
Office-bearers have unanimously decided in the 276th meeting held on October 20, 2022 that Suresh C. Jacob and Piyush Paul Singh be removed from all the posts they are holding within the structure of the Church of North India with immediate effect
It may be noted that continuing investigation in the case of disproportionate properties and misappropriation of funds by Bishop PC Singh, Economic Offence Wing (EOW) Jabalpur had arrested Manager Suresh C. Jacob and his son Piyush Paul Singh for their involvement in misappropriation of funds.
It may be noted that, on September 8, EOW Jabalpur team raided the office and bungalow of Bishop PC Singh and seized cash of Rs 1,65,14,000 Indian currency, 18,352 US Dollars, 118 Pounds, gold jewellery amounting to Rs. 80 lakhs, documents of 48 bank accounts of different schools and documents of 17 properties.
Besides this, district administration had suspended the application for renewal of lease of United Christian Missionary Society owned by Bishop PC Singh and merged the 1.70 lakh square feet land amounting to Rs. 1.70 crores in the Government records.

Synod of Church of North India had suspended Bishop Singh in July
The Hitavada, 12-Sep-2022; The Synod of the Church of North India, through a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanded a high-level probe in misappropriation of funds amounting to more than Rs 1,000 crore and alienation of Trust properties of CNI Origin UCNI through the ED and CBI.
The letter also stated that in a meeting of the CNI Origin UCNI Church Union Founder Mission’s Trustees, held on July 9, 2022 at Clara Bruce Girls’ School, unanimously passed the resolution to suspend Rt Rev P C Singh, Bishop of Jabalpur for his illegal activities and for to safe guard the religious work and properties of CNI origin UCNI.
Through the letter, Moderator, CNI Trust Association and CNI Origin UCNI Church Union Founder Mission Trustee, Dr DG Bhambal informed that the meeting of the Synod Council (General Body Meeting) of Church of North India Trust Association was held on July 31, 2022 at Clara Bruce Girls’ School Prayer Hall and on the recommendations of CNI origin UCNI Church Union Founder Mission Trusts, it was unanimously resolved that Rt Rev P C Singh Bishop of Jabalpur Diocese, functioning illegally as Moderator, Synod of Church of North India, be suspended and hereby authorised Dr D G Bhambal, Moderator Synod Church of India Trust Association (MC) (MS) to issue him suspension letter on behalf of the Synod Church of North India (Church of North India Trust Association).
The letter also alleged that Rt Rev Dr P C Singh, so-called Moderator and his sub-ordinates, have connection with a gangster and executed false and fabricated transfer deed of properties of CNI origin UCNI also, violated FCRA rules and misappropriated more than Rs 1000 rupees, which is invested abroad.
Moderator, Dr G D Bhambal has requested the PMO to enquire the misappropriation of more than Rs 1000 crore and alienation of Trust Properties of CNI origin UCNI through ED and CBI.
