Heavy rain likely in Himalayan and sub Himalayan areas of West Bengal and Sikkim

Low pressure in South Bengal 
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 26 September 2022: Due to the cyclone in the Bay of Bengal a low
pressure area is likely to form over South Bengal. Coastal districts of South Bengal are likely to experience heavy rain. Heavy rain is likely over South 24 Parganas and East and West Midnapore. 
North Bengal is also likely to receive heavy rain in the next 24 hours mainly at Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Alipurduar. These districts along with North and South Dinajpur are likely to receive heavy rain sporadically. Scattered to broken low and medium clouds with embedded intense to very intense convection lay over central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh Coast. Scattered low and medium clouds with embedded moderate to intense convection lay over North East and South East Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and isolated weak to moderate convection lay over rest of Bay of Bengal.
