Kumudini band boys set off from Bagdogra and heading to Zurich via Delhi and Doha

Don't Miss

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 11 July 20/22: Finally the team of Kumudini Homes HS School left Bagdogra Airporty for Switzerland via Delhi. From Delhi they will avail a connecting Katar flight to reach Doha and from there to Zurich. At Bagdogra they boarded another Spicejet flight arranged by the Spicejet to fly to Delhi.
Darjeeling MP Raju Bista met the Airport authority as well as the spicejet officials and made the arrangements for their journey from Bagdogra upto Zurich.
Later he posted in Facebook stating "As I had promised yesterday, I will not allow the enthusiasm and energy of our students from Kumudini Homes School, Kalimpong to be dampened.
I have arranged for their flight tickets - they will be flying from here to Delhi, then catch a connecting flight to Doha and onto Zurich.
In Delhi all arrangements have been made for their comfort. My office staff will pick them up, and they will spend their layover time in my home before their international flight commences.
I request the parents of these students, and all their well-wishers to not be worried. I assure you, I will take care of them like their own elder brother.
Even though this incident was very stressful for all concerned, I have seen an outpouring of love and support for these students. No where else would people be so concerned for the well-being of complete strangers, and go out of their way to help the students in need. I thank the people of our region for their prayers and support.
I am confident, the students will dazzle the world with a brilliant display of music and 'Khukuri Dance', and bring laurels to our region and nation."
