TT Bureau | Calcutta | 06.07.22 : Bengal on Tuesday reported 1,973 new Covid-19 infections, 592 recoveries and three deaths.
Case positivity rate was 15.93 per cent on a day 12,385 samples were tested.
Currently, there are 12,517 active cases in the state: 12,108 in home isolation and 409 in hospitals, according to the state bulletin.
The state’s recovery rate was 98.34 per cent and mortality rate 1.04 per cent on Tuesday.
In light of the recent uptick in cases, booster doses being administered in the state have also increased.
So far, 38,82,470 booster doses have been administered in Bengal. Also, 99,606 Covid vaccines were administered in the state on Tuesday.
