TT Correspondent | Calcutta | 10.07.22 : Bengal on Saturday reported 2,968 new Covid-19 infections, 662 recoveries and three deaths.
Case positivity rate was 15.69 per cent on the day 18,922 samples were tested.
Currently, there are 21,159 active cases in the state: 20,555 in home isolation and 604 in hospitals, according to the state bulletin.
The state’s recovery rate was 97.93 per cent and mortality rate 1.04 per cent on Saturday.
In light of the recent uptick in cases, booster doses being administered in the state
have also increased. So far, 40,85,141 booster doses have been administered in the state so far.
On Saturday, 1,46,661 Covid vaccines were administered in Bengal.
The state has so far administered 72,697,350 first doses and 63,752,185 second doses of Covid-19 vaccines.
Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the state has so
far recorded 20,48,749 cases, 20,06,351 recoveries and 21,239 deaths.
