Pregnant woman delivers baby in BSF ambulance in West Bengal

A pregnant woman delivered a baby girl in a BSF ambulance on the way to the hospital in West Bengal.

A woman from MSPur village in West Bengal gave birth to a baby girl in a BSF ambulance on the way to the hospital on Saturday.

The Border Security Force (BSF) jawans had rushed a woman who was writhing in labour pain to a hospital in Malda.

The pregnant woman, identified as Napisha Khatoon, was sent to the Golapganj Hospital, Malda by the BSF.

The Company Commander of the Border Out Post MS Pur, at the request of Napisha’s husband, sent a BSF ambulance to the pregnant woman’s home at 5 am, in the morning. A trained nursing assistant also accompanied the pregnant woman.

The woman gave birth to a baby girl on the way to the hospital. Later, both the mother and daughter were admitted to the hospital. “The condition of both mother and child is normal,” a hospital staff member said.
