One arrested for burglary in Gorubathan - arrested with a mobile

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 13 April 2022: Kalimpong police arrested a burglar with cash in Gorubathan. According to Kalimpong police on Anti Dolma Rai of Sombarey Bazar under Gorubathan police station informed the police that a burglary has taken place in her house and Rs 15,000 in cash with two  bank pass book & one  ATM Card was stolen from her residence, when door was not locked and none were present in the house at the time of theft.

SDPO Gorubathan with the team of Gorubathan police handled the case and during investigation, the team detained one suspected person. Biswas Das, son of Kumar Das of Sombaray Bazar during interrogation confessed the crime and was arrested within 24 hours of complain.

The accused was remanded police custody by the court. During the remand period accused Biswas gave some significant statements on the basis of which search was made. One cash memo of a newly purchased mobile, one airbud with cash memo and one black colour ladies bag was recovered from a nearby public toilet of Someshwar Mandir at Sombaray Bazar. 

Police also recovered an ATM Card and one newly purchased mobile phone (realme 5G GT master edition) with box which was purchased by him from the stolen cash. Further investigation is proceeding.
