KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 February 2022: Reports received from Darjeeling district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing, and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours are as follows:

9 died
Sunil Kumar Sen, 69 yr old of Kotwali, Jalpaiguri died today in Covid Block of NBMCH. 
Pema Lama Rai, of Alubari, Darjeeling died today in Covid Block of NBMCH. 
Pratima Oraon, 25 yr old of Telipara, Kumargram died today in Covid Block of NBMCH. 
Priyanka Mondal, 15 yr old of Ward No 5, Siliguri died today in Covid Block of NBMCH. 
Archana Paul, 95 yr old of Matigara, Darjeeling died today in Covid Block of NBMCH. 
Amir Asur, 34 yr old of Kilkote TE, Matelli died today in Covid Block of NBMCH. 
Charan Singh, 45 yr old of Khoribari, Darjeeling died today in Covid Block of NBMCH. 
Sudhir chanda Nandi, 68 yr old of Kalamjote, Sushrutnagar, Siliguri died today in Covid Block of NBMCH. 
Pushpa Das, 82 yr old of Dabgram, Siliguri died today in Covid Block of NBMCH. 

91 tested positive: Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH
Out of 282 swab samples received from Darjeeling and Kalimpong for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests - 91 tested positive.
 
15 in SMC:
15 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (13 in Darjeeling and 2 Jalpaiguri districts) test positive. 
 
47 in Darjeeling district:
47 positive cases were reported in the district of Darjeeling, while 13 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 
18 of the Hills (3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Mirik, 3 in Bijanbari, 3 in Sukhiapokhari, 4 in Takdah)
16 of the plains (4 in Khoribari, 8 in Matigara, 1 in Naxalbari, 3 in Phansidewa, 0 in Sukuna) also test positive.

42 admitted:
In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 42 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block, there are 34 patients, 14 admitted to the CCU unit of the Covid Block I, and 20 in the Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 
There are 4 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 4 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and none in the Pediatric Covid Block of NBMCH, and none in surgical isolation ward and none in HDU (Trauma care centre).
During the last 24 hours, no serious patients are being treated in the two Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

105 Discharged:
105 patients have been released from Covid hospitals including home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
