KalimNews, Kalimpong, 8 February 2022: It is observed that in Bengal and particularly in North Bengal, the number of new infections has diminished while the rate of death alarmingly rose high. Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

3 Death:

Death of 1 in Jalpaiguri, 2 in Dakshin Dinajpur is recorded during the last 24 hours.

1 in Malda 1 in Jalpaiguri and 1 in Coochbehar, , , 1 in Uttar Dinajpur 1 in Dakshin Dinajpur and 1 in Darjeeling and 3 in Kalimpong Darjeeling and 2 in

 No death is reported from any of the five districts of North Bengal.

52 in Darjeeling:

During the last 24 hours 52 new cases, 84 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 52 new cases, and till today there are 68,692 confirmed cases of which 67,233 have recovered and 585 died while 874 are active cases.

3 in Kalimpong:

3 new cases, 16 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 3 new cases, and till today there are 8,432 confirmed cases of which 8,217 have recovered, 57 died and 158 are active cases.

49 in Alipurduar:

49 new cases 40 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 49 new cases, and till today there are 18,625 confirmed cases of which 18,074 have recovered and 108 died while 443 are active cases.

33 in Coochbehar: 

33 new cases, 47 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 33 new cases, and till today there are 33,776 confirmed cases of which 33,178 have recovered, 103 died and 495 are active cases.

27 in Jalpaiguri: 

27 new cases, 62 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 27 new cases, and till today there are 49,176 confirmed cases of which 633 died while 47,911 have recovered and 632 are active cases.

14 in Uttar Dinajpur:

14 new cases, 28 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 14 new cases, and till today, there are 24,997 confirmed cases of which 259 died while 24,447 have recovered and 291 are active cases.

15 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

15 new cases 34 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 15 new cases, and till today there are 22,865 confirmed cases of which 190 died while 22,329 have recovered and 346 are active cases.
