New cases: 439 in West Bengal, 7 in Kalimpong, 25 in Darjeeling, Death 18 in state and 4 in North Bengal

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 16 February 2022: It is observed that in Bengal and particularly in North Bengal, the number of new infections has diminished while the rate of death alarmingly rose high. Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

4 Death:

Death of 2 in Darjeeling , 1 in Jalpaiguri, 1 in Uttar Dinajpur is recorded during the last 24 hours.

25 in Darjeeling:

During the last 24 hours 25 new cases, 70 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 25 new cases, and till today there are 68,909 confirmed cases of which 67,810 have recovered and 596 died while 503 are active cases.

7 in Kalimpong:

7 new cases, 14 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 7 new cases, and till today there are 8,491 confirmed cases of which 8,328 have recovered, 57 died and 106 are active cases.

17 in Alipurduar:

17 new cases 42 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 17 new cases, and till today there are 18,813 confirmed cases of which 18,396 have recovered and 110 died while 307 are active cases.

10 in Coochbehar: 

10 new cases, 41 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 10 new cases, and till today there are 33,905 confirmed cases of which 33,509 have recovered, 106 died and 290 are active cases.

18 in Jalpaiguri: 

18 new cases, 63 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 18 new cases, and till today there are 49,470 confirmed cases of which 644 died while 48,381 have recovered and 445 are active cases.

6 in Uttar Dinajpur:

6 new cases, 24 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 6 new cases, and till today, there are 25,077 confirmed cases of which 265 died while 24,643 have recovered and 169 are active cases.

12 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

12 new cases 32 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 12 new cases, and till today there are 22,993 confirmed cases of which 193 died while 22,570 have recovered and 230 are active cases.

16 in Malda:  

16 new cases 51 releases were reported today from Malda. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 16 new cases, and till today there are 44,349 confirmed cases of which 43,790 have recovered and 197 died and 362 are active.
