KalimNews, Kalimpong, 19 February 2022: It is observed that in Bengal and particularly in North Bengal, the number of new infections has diminished while the rate of death alarmingly rose high. Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

2 Death:

Death of 1 in Uttar Dinajpur and 1 in Malda is recorded during the last 24 hours.

8 in Darjeeling:

During the last 24 hours 8 new cases, 69 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 8 new cases, and till today there are 68,950 confirmed cases of which 68,020 have recovered and 596 died while 334 are active cases.

2 in Kalimpong:

2 new cases, 14 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, and till today there are 8,498 confirmed cases of which 8,372 have recovered, 57 died and 69 are active cases.

14 in Alipurduar:

14 new cases 44 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 13 new cases, and till today there are 18,855 confirmed cases of which 18,526 have recovered and 110 died while 219 are active cases.

9 in Coochbehar: 

9 new cases, 40 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 9 new cases, and till today there are 33,930 confirmed cases of which 33,629 have recovered, 106 died and 195 are active cases.

14 in Jalpaiguri: 

14 new cases, 64 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 14 new cases, and till today there are 49,533 confirmed cases of which 647 died while 48,570 have recovered and 316 are active cases.

4 in Uttar Dinajpur:

4 new cases, 23 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 4 new cases, and till today, there are 25,090 confirmed cases of which 266 died while 24,713 have recovered and 111 are active cases.

4 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

4 new cases 34 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 4 new cases, and till today there are 23,027 confirmed cases of which 193 died while 22,669 have recovered and 165 are active cases.

13 in Malda:  

13 new cases 49 releases were reported today from Malda. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 13 new cases, and till today there are 44,381 confirmed cases of which 43,940 have recovered and 199 died and 242 are active.
