KalimNews, Kalimpong, 23 February 2022: It is observed that in Bengal and particularly in North Bengal, the number of new infections has diminished while the rate of death alarmingly rose high. Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

1 Death:

Death of 1 in Darjeeling is recorded during the last 24 hours.

14 in Darjeeling:

During the last 24 hours 14 new cases, 50 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 14 new cases, and till today there are 68,988 confirmed cases of which 68,263 have recovered and 599 died while 126 are active cases.

3 in Kalimpong:

3 new cases, 12 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 3 new cases, and till today there are 8,511 confirmed cases of which 8,423 have recovered, 58 died and 30 are active cases.

8 in Alipurduar:

8 new cases 36 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 8 new cases, and till today there are 18,892 confirmed cases of which 18,692 have recovered and 110 died while 90 are active cases.

3 in Coochbehar: 

3 new cases, 29 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 3 new cases, and till today there are 33,948 confirmed cases of which 33,772 have recovered, 106 died and 70 are active cases.

10 in Jalpaiguri: 

10 new cases, 50 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 10 new cases, and till today there are 49,572 confirmed cases of which 647 died while 48,802 have recovered and 123 are active cases.

3 in Uttar Dinajpur:

3 new cases, 17 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 3 new cases, and till today, there are 25,101 confirmed cases of which 267 died while 24,794 have recovered and 40 are active cases.

8 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

8 new cases 31 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 8 new cases, and till today there are 23,072 confirmed cases of which 193 died while 22,801 have recovered and 78 are active cases.

7 in Malda:  

7 new cases 37 releases were reported today from Malda. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 7new cases, and till today there are 44,407 confirmed cases of which 44,118 have recovered and 199 died and 90 are active.
