KalimNews, Kalimpong, 4 February 2022: It is observed that in Bengal and particularly in North Bengal, the number of new infections has diminished while the rate of death alarmingly rose high. Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

0 Death: No death is reported from any of the five districts of North Bengal.

83 in Darjeeling:

During the last 24 hours 83 new cases, 124 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 83 new cases, and till today there are 68,447 confirmed cases of which 66,830 have recovered and 576 died while 1,041 are active cases.

25 in Kalimpong:

25 new cases, 21 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 25 new cases, and till today there are 8,389 confirmed cases of which 8,142 have recovered, 57 died and 190 are active cases.

60 in Alipurduar:

60 new cases 49 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 60 new cases, and till today there are 18,438 confirmed cases of which 17,894 have recovered and 107 died while 437 are active cases.

43 in Coochbehar: 

43 new cases, 71 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 43 new cases, and till today there are 33,647 confirmed cases of which 32,951 have recovered, 102 died and 594 are active cases.

72 in Jalpaiguri: 

72 new cases, 87 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 72 new cases, and till today there are 48,981 confirmed cases of which 621 died while 47,616 have recovered and 744 are active cases.

32 in Uttar Dinajpur:

32 new cases, 39 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 32 new cases, and till today, there are 24,912 confirmed cases of which 259 died while 24,317 have recovered and 336 are active cases.

46 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

46 new cases 48 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur.
