1 die, 23 in Darj, 6 in Darj Hills, 11 in Plains, 8 in SMC tests positive, 22 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH
Out of 282 samples- 11 tests positive, 47 recovered from Covid-19.
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 February 2022: Reports received from Darjeeling district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing, and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours are as follows:
1 died
Gokul Burman, 60 yr old of Dakshin Pachaghar, Coochbehar died today in Covid Block I of NBMCH. It is reported that the Burman did not take any vaccine of Covid- 19 due to his comorbidities..
11 tested positive: Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH
Out of 282 swab samples received from Darjeeling and Kalimpong for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests - 11 tested positive.
8 in SMC:
8 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (6 in Darjeeling and 2 Jalpaiguri districts) test positive.
23 in Darjeeling district:
23 positive cases were reported in the district of Darjeeling, while 6 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
6 of the Hills (1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Mirik, 1 in Bijanbari, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Takdah)
11 of the plains (1 in Khoribari, 1 in Matigara, 5 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa, 2 in Sukuna) also test positive.
22 admitted:
In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 22 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block, there are 16 patients, 11 admitted to the CCU unit of the Covid Block I, and 5 in the Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH),
There are 2 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 4 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and none in the Pediatric Covid Block of NBMCH, and none in surgical isolation ward and none in HDU (Trauma care centre).
During the last 24 hours, no serious patients are being treated in the two Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
47 Discharged:
47 patients have been released from Covid hospitals including home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
