PR, KalimNews, Kalimpong, 31, January 2022: Cold day conditions occurred at one or two places over Bihar. Cold wave conditions occurred at one or two places over Odisha and East Midnapore district of Gangetic West Bengal.
Dense fog occurred at one or two places over Bihar. Shallow to moderate fog occurred at one or two places over Bihar, Sikkim, Odisha and the districts of West Bengal.
Light to moderate rainfall occurred at most places over Nicobar Islands. Weather remained dry over the rest of the region.
Today's minimum temperature rose markedly at one or two places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal; rose appreciably at one or two places in Gangetic West Bengal; fell appreciably at one or two places in Sikkim. No large change occurred elsewhere in the region.
Those were below to appreciably below normal at most places with markedly below normal at one or two places in Odisha, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal; below to appreciably below normal at most places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and at many places in Bihar; below normal at one or two places in Sikkim, and normal elsewhere in the region.
The lowest minimum temperature of 5.7 °C has been recorded at Coochbehar (Sub Himalayan West Bengal) in the plains of the region.
A cyclonic circulation lies over south Assam and neighborhoods between 21 km & 3.6 km above mean sea level.

Tuesday 01 Feb (Day-3) (Day-2) : Dense fog (Visibility: 50-199m) likely to prevail at one or two places over Bihar.
Wednesday 02 Feb (Day-3) : Dense fog (Visibility: 50-199m) likely to prevail at one or two places over Odisha.
Thursday 03 Feb (Day-4) : Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar, Jharkhand , Odisha , Sikkim , the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Birbhum, Murshidabad, East & West Burdwan, Bankura, Purulia districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
Friday 04 Feb (Day-5) :
1) Heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar, Sikkim, the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Birbhum, Murshidabad, East & West Burdwan, Bankura, Purulia districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
2) Thunderstorm & lightning accompanied with Hail likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha & Jharkhand.
3) Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar, Sikkim and the districts of West Bengal.
