Don't Miss
Due to the clogging of drains and streams that in the past few months, water-logging was reported in the area during rain, which is rare in any hill town
Bireswar Banerjee | TT | 21.01.22 : Conservancy workers of Kurseong municipality organised a clean-up drive in the civic area of the hill town on Thursday and cleared garbage from drains and streams.
Kurseong is located around 40km from Siliguri.
It is because of the clogging of the drains and the streams that in the past few months, waterlogging was reported in Kurseong during rain, which is rare in any hill town.
“The drive was conducted throughout the day to clear all the drains and the streams so that water flows freely downstream. The drive was organised to prevent waterlogging that occurred in Kurseong on a number of occasions in recent months,” said Subhash Pradhan, the vice-chairman of the municipality.
