Rajeev Ravidas | TT | Siliguri | 04.01.22: A young tourist from Bihar is feared to have drowned after he slipped while clicking a selfie and fell into river Lachung in north Sikkim on Monday morning.
Police sources said Abhishek Kumar, 21, had gone to the riverside at 7.30am and lost his balance while clicking a selfie. Despite a massive search operation by the administration with help of the Indian army, the Indian Tibetan Border Force and local people, he remained traceless as of Monday evening.
The resident of Bhagalpur had reached Lachung on Saturday to celebrate New Year.
He had reached the popular tourist destination on Saturday.
