3 dies, 256 in Darj, 22 in Darj Hills, 155 in Plains, 96 in SMC tests positive, 63 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH
35 children admitted, 5 died in paediatric ward, 555 recovered from Covid-19.
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 27 January 2022: Reports received from Darjeeling district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing, and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours are as follows:
3 died
Sefali Karmakar, 68 yr old of Vidhya chankra Colony, Bhaktinagar died today in Covid Block of NBMCH.
Jitendra Das, 66 yr old of Kumargram, Alipurduar, died today in Covid Block of NBMCH.
Md. Intajul, 35 yr old of Correctional Home, Siliguri, died today in Covid Block of NBMCH.
Paediatric Ward of NBMCH
35 new children suspected to be infected by Respiratory Syncytial virus (RSV) and none are suffering from ARI (Acute respiratory Illness) is admitted from Coochbehar in pediatric ward of the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) during the last 24 hrs,
19 are released today after recovery.
Presently 2 Children suffering from ARI patients are being treated.
5 child died:
In the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) unit of NBMCH, 5 child died of ailments other than ARI and RSV.
96 in SMC:
96 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (79 in Darjeeling and 17 Jalpaiguri districts) test positive.
256 in Darjeeling district:
256 positive cases were reported in the district of Darjeeling, while 79 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
22 of the Hills (3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 8 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Mirik, 3 in Bijanbari, 3 in Sukhiapokhari, 3 in Takdah)
155 of the plains (25 in Khoribari, 74 in Matigara, 24 in Naxalbari, 20 in Phansidewa, 12 in Sukuna) also test positive.
63 admitted:
In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 63 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block, there are 46 patients, 22 admitted to the CCU unit of the Covid Block I, and 24 in the Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH),
There are 5 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 12 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and none in the Pediatric Covid Block of NBMCH, and none in surgical isolation ward and none in HDU (Trauma care centre).
During the last 24 hours, no serious patients are being treated in the two Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
555 Discharged:
555 patients have been released from Covid hospitals including home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
