State records 763 new cases, 8137 active cases, 13 death, 806 recovery,

KalimNews | November 05, 2021 : Presently the total number of active cases in the state is fluctuating, today it increased. Today 763 fresh cases of the contagion were reported, pushing the tally to 15,97,095, the bulletin released by the state health department said. The state had reported 919 new infections yesterday. 203 new cases was reported from Kolkata, the highest among all the districts of the state.

The total number of active cases in the state decreased to 8137 from 8193. 13 deaths due to coronavirus were reported during the day, taking the death toll to 19,201. 1 death was reported in North Bengal and the rest 12 deaths in South Bengal. The fatality rate is 1.20 per cent. Yesterday the state had registered 14 Covid-19 deaths. 

So far, 15,68,757 people were cured of the disease in West Bengal, including 863 in the last 24 hours.

The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 98.29 per cent. The positivity rate, which was 2.53 per cent yesterday, increased to 2.24 per cent today, the bulletin said. Today, 30,212 samples had been tested for detecting the infection in the state taking the total number of such clinical examinations to 1,94,09,097 it said.

The number of people vaccinated today was 1,46,032. Cumulative vaccination till today was 8,02,49,821 of them 5,79,21,340 people were vaccinated with first dose and 2,23,28,481 with second dose.
