918 new cases, 8193 active cases, 14 death, 863 recovery,

KalimNews | November 04, 2021 : Presently the total number of active cases in the state is fluctuating, today it increased. Today 918 fresh cases of the contagion were reported, pushing the tally to 15,96,332, the bulletin released by the state health department said. The state had reported 919 new infections yesterday. 228 new cases was reported from Kolkata, the highest among all the districts of the state.

The total number of active cases in the state increased by 41 to 8193 from 8152. 14 deaths due to coronavirus were reported during the day, taking the death toll to 19,188. 1 death was reported in North Bengal and the rest 13 deaths in South Bengal. The fatality rate is 1.20 per cent. Yesterday the state had registered 11 Covid-19 deaths. 
So far, 15,68,951 people were cured of the disease in West Bengal, including 863 in the last 24 hours.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 98.28 per cent. The positivity rate, which was 2.24 per cent yesterday, decreased to 2.22 per cent today, the bulletin said. Today, 41,341 samples had been tested for detecting the infection in the state taking the total number of such clinical examinations to 1,93,78,885 it said.

The number of people vaccinated today was 5,27,263. Cumulative vaccination till today was 8,01,03,789, of them 5,78,24,423 people were vaccinated with first dose and 2,22,79,336 with second dose.
