KalimNews, Kalimpong, 8 October: Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

1 Death:

Death of 1 in Darjeeling is recorded during the last 24 hours.

43 in Darjeeling:

During the last 48 hours 43 new cases, 36 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 43 new cases, and till today there are 56,522 confirmed cases of which 55,614 have recovered and 533 died while 375 are active cases.

5 in Kalimpong:

5 new cases, 7 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 5 new cases, and till today there are 6,964 confirmed cases of which 6,837 have recovered, 54 died and 73 are active cases.

8 in Alipurduar:

8 new 7 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 8 new cases, and till today there are 15,489 confirmed cases of which 15,313 have recovered and 101 died while 75 are active cases.

14 in Coochbehar: 

14 new cases, 16 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 14 new cases, and till today there are 28,999 confirmed cases of which 28,747 have recovered, 96 died and 156 are active cases.

23 in Jalpaiguri: 

23 new cases, 21 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 23 new cases, and till today there are 41,620 confirmed cases of which 565 died while 40,841 have recovered and 214 are active cases.

2 in Uttar Dinajpur:

2 new cases, 2 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 2 new cases, and till today, there are 19,718 confirmed cases of which 235 died while 19,457 have recovered 26 are active cases.

16 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

16 new cases, 14 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 16 new cases, and till today there are 17,559 confirmed cases of which 169 died while 17,255 have recovered and 135 are active cases.

6 in Malda:  

6 new cases, 10 releases were reported today from Malda. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 6 new cases, and till today there are 33,217 confirmed cases of which 32,932 have recovered and 186 died and 99 are active.
