Depression over north east and adjoining East Central Bay of Bengal intensified into a Deep Depression and lay centered a 0830hrs IST of 25th September 2021, over northwest and adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal near Lat.18.4°N and Long.89.3°E, about 470 km east-south east of Gopalpur (Odisha) & 540 km east-north east of Kalingapatnam (Andhra Pradesh). It is likely to intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next 06 hours. It is likely to move nearly west wards and cross north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts between Vishakhapatnam & Gopalpur around Kalingapatnam by evening of 26th September, 2021. The Monsoon trough at mean sealevel now passes through Jaisalmer, Kota, Mandla, Sambhalpur, Paradeep and then east southeastwards to the center of Deep Depression over Northwest & adjoining West central Bay of Bengal.
Yesterday’s cyclonic circulation over northeast Madhya Pradesh & adjoining south Uttar Pradesh now lies over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh and neighborhood extending upto 4.5 km above mean sea level. A cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge over Northeast & adjoining East central Bay of Bengal around 27th September. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to develop over Northeast Bay of Bengal & neighborhood during subsequent 24 hours. It is likely to move northwest wards and reach West Bengal coast around 29th September.

1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
2) Thunderstorms with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Jharkhand and South 24 Parganas, East & West Midnapore districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
26 Sep(Day-2)
1) Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20cm) likely to occur at a few places over Odisha with extremely heavy rain (>20cm) likely at one or two places over Odisha.
2) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and East Midnapore districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
3) Thunderstorms with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Jharkhand and all the districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
27Sep (Day-3)
1) Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20cm) likely to occur at a few places over Odisha.
2) Heavy rain(7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and South 24 Parganas, East & West Midnapore districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
3) Thunderstorms with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over all the districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
