19 in Darj, 7 in Darj Hills, 4 in Plains, 9 in SMC tests positive, 10 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH
Out of 131 samples-16 tests positive, 13 recovered from Covid-19.
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 September 2021: Reports received from Darjeeling district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing, and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours are as follows:
Paediatric Ward of NBMCH
16 new children admitted, 5
with symptoms of fever and cough and referred from other hospitals. Presently 90
total Children patients admitted.
16 tested positive: Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH
Out of 131 swab samples received from Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests - 82 from Darjeeling, 49 from Kalimpong. Of these samples 16 tested positive.
9 in SMC:
9 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (8 in Darjeeling and 1 Jalpaiguri districts) test positive.
19 in Darjeeling district:
19 positive cases were reported in the district of Darjeeling, while 8 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
7 of the Hills (1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Mirik, 2 in Bijanbari, 0 in Sukhiapokhari, 0 in Takdah)
4 of the plains (0 in Khoribari, 0 in Matigara, 3 in Naxalbari, 0 in Phansidewa, 1 in Sukuna) also test positive.
10 admitted
In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 10 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block, there are 7 patients of which 4 are admitted to the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 3 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), and no patient in HDU (Trauma care centre) and in the surgical isolation ward.
There are no patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, but 1 in the Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and 2 child patient is admitted in the Pediatric Covid Block of NBMCH.
During the last 24 hours, no serious patients are being treated in the two Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
13 Discharged:
13 patients have been released from Covid hospitals including home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
