KalimNews, Kalimpong, 18 Aug 2021: Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

2 Death:

Death of 1 in Darjeeling, 1 in Kalimpong is recorded during the last 24 hours.

44 in Darjeeling:

During the last 48 hours 44 new cases, 66 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 44 new cases, and till today there are 54,502 confirmed cases of which 52036 have recovered and 512 died while 954 are active cases.

7 in Kalimpong:

7 new cases, 16 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 7 new cases, and till today there are 6,586 confirmed cases of which 6,317 have recovered, 46 died and 223 are active cases.

10 in Alipurduar:

10 new cases, 14 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 10 new cases, and till today there are 15,101 confirmed cases of which 14,796 have recovered and 99 died while 206 are active cases.

36 in Coochbehar: 

36 new cases, 35 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 36 new cases, and till today there are 28,169 confirmed cases of which 27,561 have recovered, 95 died and 513 are active cases.

22 in Jalpaiguri: 

22 new cases, 38 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 22 new cases, and till today there are 40,496 confirmed cases of which 548 died while 39, 394 have recovered and 554 are active cases.

5 in Uttar Dinajpur:

5 new cases, 7 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 5 new cases, and till today, there are 19,554 confirmed cases of which 233 died while 19,213 have recovered 108 are active cases.

3 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

3 new cases, 6 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 3 new cases, and till today there are 17,014 confirmed cases of which 168 died while 16,755 have recovered and 91 are active cases.

7 in Malda:  

7 new cases, 6 releases were reported today from Malda. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 7 new cases, and till today there are 32,755 confirmed cases of which 32,487 have recovered and 185 died and 83 are active.
