KalimNews, Kalimpong, 16 Aug 2021: Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

2 Death:

Death of 1 in Darjeeling, 1 in Kalimpong 1 in Jalpaiguri is recorded during the last 24 hours.

47 in Darjeeling:

During the last 48 hours 47 new cases, 69 releases are reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 47 new cases, and till today there are 54,394 confirmed cases of which 52,903 have recovered and 510 died while 981 are active cases.

2 in Kalimpong:

2 new cases, 18 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, and till today there are 6,574 confirmed cases of which 6,290 have recovered, 45 died and 239 are active cases.

5 in Alipurduar:

5 new cases, 16 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 5 new cases, and till today there are 15,085 confirmed cases of which 14,768 have recovered and 99 died while 218 are active cases.

30 in Coochbehar: 

30 new cases, 36 releases reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 30 new cases, and till today there are 28,102 confirmed cases of which 27,496 have recovered, 95 died and 511 are active cases.

12 in Jalpaiguri: 

12 new cases, 43 releases reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 12 new cases, and till today there are 40,452 confirmed cases of which 548 died while 39, 316 have recovered and 588 are active cases.

3 in Uttar Dinajpur:

3 new cases, 8 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 3 new cases, and till today, there are 19,541 confirmed cases of which 233 died while 19,198 have recovered 110 are active cases.

1 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

1 new cases, 7 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 1 new cases, and till today there are 17,008 confirmed cases of which 168 died while 16,742 have recovered and 98 are active cases.

4 in Malda:  

4 new cases, 5 releases were reported today from Malda. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 4 new cases, and till today there are 32,738 confirmed cases of which 32,476 have recovered and 185 died and 77 are active.
