Bista slams Khela Diwas': Khela hobe slogan does not mean a football match. It is instigating violence politically TMC leaders have been creating

SNS, 16 August 21 : While Trinamul Congress leaders observed 'Khela Diwas' here today, with the political slogan 'Khela Hobe,' which helped TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee in the last Assembly elections, the BJP leadership came down heavily on it today.
While on one hand former state tourism minister Gautam Deb today distributed two footballs each among several clubs in Siliguri, Darjeeling's BJP MP Raju Bista, upon landing at Bagdogra from Delhi and on his way to Katihar in Bihar to attend a political programme°, today said: "The Khela hobe slogan does not mean a football match. It is instigating violence politically TMC leaders have been creating unrest in the peaceful state of Tripura."
Notably, TMC leaders, including MPs and MLAs, today observed 'Khela Diwas' across the state, including Kolkata and Siliguri.
According to Mr Bista, the state should not have observed 'Khela Diwas' on 16 August, the day when thousands of people had died. Notably, according to the BJP leadership, 16 August is Muslim League's direct action day, which began in 1946 and it was also the 'day of great killing' in Kolkata.
Mr Bista, who is also the General Secretary of the BJP's youth wing, did not hesitate to criticise former Congress MP from Assam, Sushmita Deb's, decision to join the Trinamul Congress.
Ms Deb, the daughter of Santosh Mohan Deb, met TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee in Kolkata today and joined the party.
"After all, the Congress, TMC, Nationalist Congress Party and even Communist Party of India (Marxist) are all the same wine, which keeps on circulating in the same old bottles. Their philosophy is same, their anti-India rhetoric and agenda is the same, even their objectives to remain in power at all cost and continue looting the public is the same," Mr Bista said.
During his political programme in Bihar, Mr Bista requested Union External Affairs minister Dr S Jaishankar to evacuate some Nepali speaking personalities from Kabul.
