Weather Warning for the Region - Low Pressure Area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 23 July :A Low Pressure Area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood. The associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6km above mean sea level tilting south west wards with height.

Friday 23 July

1) Heavy rain (7-20cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha.

2) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Jharkhand and Bankura, Purulia, East Midnapore, West Midnapore & Jhargram districts of Gangetic West Bengal.

3) Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind with windspeed reaching 40-50 kmph likely to occur over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

4) Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Jharkhand, all the districts of Gangetic West Bengal and Malda, North Dinajpur & South Dinajpur districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.

1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha.

2) Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind with windspeed reaching 40-50 kmph likely to occur over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Sunday 25 July

1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha.

2) Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind with windspeed reaching 40-50 kmph likely to occur over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

3) Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar.

Monday 26 July

1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha, Jharkhand, Sikkim and Coochbehar, Alipurduar, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Nadia & Murshidabad districts of West Bengal.

2) Thundersquall with windspeed reaching 50-60 kmph likely to occur over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

3) Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar, Jharkhand and all the districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
