KalimNews, Kalimpong, 12 July 21: Heavy to Very Heavy rainfall occurred at most places over Kalimpong district of Sub Himalayan West Bengal Heavy rainfall occurred at a few places over Darjeeling district and at one or two places over Jalpaiguri district of Sub Himalayan West Bengal .
Rainfall occurred at most places over the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and at one or two
places over the districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over coastal Odisha & neighbourhood, a low pressure area
has formed over west central & adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh south Odisha
coasts.
The associated cyclonic circulation extends upto mid tropospheric levels tilting southwestwards
with height.
Yesterday’s trough at mean sea level now runs from central parts of West Rajasthan to the
Low Pressure Area over West Central & adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal across East Rajasthan, Madhya
Pradesh, south Chhattisgarh, Odisha and north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and extends upto 0.9 km above
mean sea level.
Yesterday’s East-West shear zone roughly along Lat. 20°N between 3.1 & 5.8 km above
mean sea level now runs roughly along Lat. 19°N between 2.1 & 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting
southwards with height.
Weather Warning for the Region
12 July 21
1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Bihar and Coochbehar, Alipurduar districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
2) Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind with windspeed reaching 30-40 kmph likely to occur over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
3) Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar, Jharkhand.
13 July 21
1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha and Coochbehar, Alipurduar districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
2) Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind with windspeed reaching 30-40 kmph likely to occur over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
3) Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar.
14 July 21
1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha and Kalimpong, Coochbehar, Alipurduar districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.

15 July 21
1) Heavy rain (7-20cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Jalpaiguri, Coochebhar dstricts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
2) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar, Sikkim and Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
3) Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar, Jharkhand, the districts of Gangetic West Bengal and Malda, North & South Dinajpur districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
