No death from Covid: 61 in Darj, 16 in Darj Hills, 21 in Plains, 29 in SMC tests positive, 32 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH
Out of 647 tests done 79 test positive, 73 recovered from Covid-19.
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 22 July 2021: Reports received from Darjeeling district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:
0 Dies
No death is recorded
79 tested positive Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH
647 swab samples received for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests in the districts of Darjeeling- 262, Kalimpong- 174, Jalpaiguri- 96 Alipurduar- 115. Of these samples 79 test positive.
29 in SMC:
29 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (24 in Darjeeling and 5 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive.
61 in Darjeeling district:
61 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 24 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
16 of the Hills (2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 5 in Mirik, 4 in Bijanbari, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 3 in Takdah)
21 of the plains (1 in Khoribari, 12 in Matigara, 7 in Naxalbari, 0 in Phansidewa, 1 in Sukuna) also test positive.
32 patients in NBMCH: (364 beds)
In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 32 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block there are 24 patients of which 10 are admitted in the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 8 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 6 in Covid Block III (Female Medicine II) and no patient in HDU (Trauma care centre) and no patients in surgical isolation ward.
There are 3 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 2 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III), 3 in the Pediatric Covid Block of NBMCH but no patient in other Isolation ward -1.
During the last 24 hours, no serious patients are being treated in the two Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
73 Discharged:
73 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
