77 Covid patients admitted in Kalimpong- Availability of Beds in Safe Homes

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 17 July 2021: 77 Covid patients are admitted in the three Safe Homes situated in the district of Kalimpong and one Covid Hospital situated in the district of Darjeeling near Kalimpong at Triveni. 

Of these 25 patients are being treated at Triveni Covid Hospital while other 52 after their treatment are transferred to the Safe Homes for Isolation and recovery before their release.

Total patients: 31 (Male 14, Female 17)

Vacant: 19 (Male 11, Female 8)

Asymptomatic patients does not need specialized care, and for them safe homes are the best option. 

Safe Homes/Satellite Facility provided by the government accommodate those who does not have space at home for isolation or home quarantine.

Safe Homes/Satellite Facilities also have provision of regular visits by medical officers to assess the patient’s condition and cause timely referral to specialized CoVID hospital facility, if required.
