ICSE Council to declare Class 12 results by July 20: Assessment to be done on basis of internal marks of students

The ISC exams were cancelled owing to the pandemic situation.

TT Bureau   |   New Delhi  | 16.06.21:  The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is likely to announce its Class 12 exam results by July 20, reported ndtv.com, attributing sources.

According to the report, assessment will be based on the students' internal marks for Classes 11 and 12. The board will also consider the best performances from 2015 to 2020.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had called for an online meeting of heads of schools presenting candidates for ISC 2021 on June 7 to discuss issues related to the submission of the average marks of Class 12 examinees scored in Classes 11and 12. But the meeting was cancelled on June 5.

The CBSE and the CISCE had earlier informed the Supreme Court that they would lay down “objective criteria” for assessing Class 12 students, now that the board exams had been cancelled.

The CBSE and CISCE had cancelled its Class 12 board exams owing to the pandemic situation.

The CISCE had on June 1 said in a media release that after the declaration of the ISC results, if some students are not satisfied with the marks awarded to them, it will give an “option to such candidates to write the ISC (Class XII) Year 2021 Examination at a later date, when the situation is conducive to conduct the same”.
