Relatives claim diligent health check up not done before administering Covishield dose

Naimuddin Ansari, 74, died after three hours of taking the second covid jab on June 17.
His relatives told The Telegraph Online that Ansari took the first shot of Covishield on March.23. He took the second shot on June.17 after 84 days. After returning home and resting for half an hour, he went to the local market. But after returning home, he complained of getting tired followed by giddiness. He went to sleep and when he didn't wake up for long, family members went into his room and found him dead at around 6:30pm.
Relatives claimed Ansari was suffering from high blood pressure and the vaccine was administered without any medical check-up resulting in his death.
“We want inquiry and action for those responsible,” they added.
On getting information about the death, Vishnugarh community health centre in-charge, Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, went to the village on Friday and sent the body to Hazaribagh medical college and hospital for post mortem.
However when asked, Singh said Ansari’s death was not related to the vaccine. “He died of some other problem,” he said.
Singh said Ansari had taken the first dose and at that time no complications were reported.
