82 Covid patients admitted in Kalimpong- Availability of Beds in Safe Homes

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 8 June 2021: 92 Covid patients are admitted in the three Safe Homes situated in the district of Kalimpong and one Covid Hospital situated in the district of Darjeeling near Kalimpong at Triveni. 

Of these 43 patients are being treated at Triveni Covid Hospital while other 49 after their treatment are transferred to the Safe Homes for Isolation and recovery before their release.

For asymptomatic patients who does not need specialized care, safe homes are the best option. 

Safe Homes/Satellite Facility provided by the government accommodate those who does not have space at home for isolation or home quarantine.

Safe Homes/Satellite Facilities also have provision of regular visits by medical officers to assess the patient’s condition and cause timely referral to specialized CoVID hospital facility, if required.

For applying for an admission in a government and government requisitioned hospitals, one may fill online form for the admission (by clicking on at https://excise.wb.gov.in/CHMS/Public/Page/CHMS_Public_Safe_Home_Bed_Availability.aspx). 

For filling online forms for admission, one must have a CoVID positive report applicable as per recent protocol ordered by health department ready in hand and the mobile number which was provided at the time of conducting RT PCR tests.
