
8 die of Covid : 75 in Darj, 14 in Darj Hills, 34 in Plains, 61 in SMC test positive, 87 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH
Out of 1563 tests done 296 test positive, 278 recovered from Covid-19.
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 19 June 2021: Reports received from Darjeeling district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:
8 Dies
2 mucormycosis patients died . Total death due to Black Fungus tallys 7 .
Jagadish Mallick, 68 yr old of Medical more Sushrutnagar Siliguri died of mucormycosis today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Jitendra Deb Singha, 33 yr old of Dumrigurichhat Atharaokhai Siliguri died of mucormycosis today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Jugli Bala Das, 60 yr old of Majhabari Bhaktinagar Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Preeti Yonzon, 38 yr old of Darjeeling died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Kishore Kanti Roy, 67 yr old of Sonarbari Belakoba Rajgunj Jalpaiguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Reena Sarkar, 46 yr old of Deshbandhupara Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Chandramaya Chhetri, 69 yr old of Kurseong died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Sati Bhowmick, 58 yr old of Alipurduar died today in a private nursing home at Siliguri.
296 tested positive Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH
1563 swab samples received for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests in the districts of Darjeeling- 851, Kalimpong- 183, Jalpaiguri- 179, Alipurduar- 150. Of these samples 296 test positive.
61 in SMC:
61 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (27 in Darjeeling and 34 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive.
75 in Darjeeling district:
75 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 27 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
14 of the Hills (0 in Darjeeling Municipality, 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Mirik, 8 in Bijanbari, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Takdah
34 of the plains (6 in Matigara, 4 in Naxalbari, 5 in Khoribari, 3 in Phansidewa, 16 in Sukuna) also test positive.
87 patients in NBMCH: (362 beds)
In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 87 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block there are 77 patients of which 35 are admitted in the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 16 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 18 in Covid Block III (Female Medicine II) and 3 in HDU (Trauma care centre) and 4 in surgical isolation ward.
Beside this 1 children are also admitted in the newly opened Pediatric Covid Block of NBMCH having14 beds.
In addition to this during the last 24 hours, 10 serious patients are being treated in the two Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 7 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and no patient in other Isolation ward -1.
278 Discharged:
278 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
