8 die of Covid : 378 in Darj, 71 in Darj Hills, 178 in Plains, 167 in SMC test positive, 105 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH
Out of 1874 tests done 171 test positive, 339 recovered from Covid-19.
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 1 June 2021: Reports received from district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:
8 Dies:
Bholanath Pal, 80 yr old of Saradnagar Shiv Mandir Kadamtala Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Sunanda Dhar, 76 yr old of Bhaktinagar Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Sabita Dutta, 70 yr old of Subhaspalli Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Rekha Kar, 49 yr old of Milanpalli Shaktigarh Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Hriday Raj, 32 yr old of Phuguri Mirik died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Dasrath Siddha, 60 yr old of Batasi Bhadra Jote Khoribari died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Binod Biswakarma, 38 yr old of Manabari Mal Bazar Jalpaiguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Bir Bahadur Shrestha, 75 yr old of Totegaon Near Washabari Jalpaiguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
171 tested positive Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH
1874 swab samples received for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests in the districts of Darjeeling- 921, Kalimpong- 139, Jalpaiguri- 607, Alipurduar- 207. Of these samples 171 test positive..
167 in SMC:
167 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (129 in Darjeeling and 38 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive.
378 in Darjeeling district:
378 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 129 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
71 of the Hills (9 in Darjeeling Municipality, 18 in Kurseong Municipality, 12 in Mirik, 19 in Bijanbari, 12 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Takdah,).
178 of the plains (104 in Matigara, 33 in Naxalbari, 1 in Khoribari, 31 in Phansidewa, 9 in Sukuna) also test positive.
105 patients in NBMCH: (236 beds)
In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 105 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block there are 97 patients of which 41 are admitted in the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 25 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 18 in Covid Block III (Female Medicine II) and 4 in HDU (Trauma care centre) and 9 in surgical isolation ward.
In addition to this during the last 24 hours, 8 serious patients are being treated in the four Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 1 patient in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 7 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and no patient in Isolation ward -1.
New Pediatric Covid Block is opened in NBMCH with 14 beds for children.
339 Discharged:
339 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
