KalimNews, Kalimpong, 3 June 2021: Reports received from district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:
114 patients in NBMCH: (314 beds)
In the
North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 114 patients are being treated for
Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College
and Hospital. In the Covid block there are 103 patients of which 43 are admitted in the CCU
unit of the Covid Block I and 26 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit)
of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 22 in Covid Block III
(Female Medicine II) and 4 in HDU (Trauma care centre) and 8 in surgical
isolation ward.
In addition to this during
the last 24 hours, 11 serious patients are being treated in the four Isolation
wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients
in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 7 in Gynecological
Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and no patient in Isolation ward -1.
New Pediatric Covid Block is opened in NBMCH with 14 beds for children.
320 Discharged:
320 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
