8 die of Covid : 124 in Darj, 46 in Darj Hills, 644 in Plains, 38 in SMC test positive, 50 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 30 June 2021: Reports received from Darjeeling district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:
8 Dies
Prem Singh Thapa, 67 yr old of Kotwali Jalpaiguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Bishnu Prasad Mukhia, 74 yr old of Mirik died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Minu SIngh, 65 yr old of South Bharatnagar Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Dinesh Tarafdar, 59 yr old of Khudirampalli Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Rashida Khatun, 28 yr old of Falakatta Aipurduar died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Shankar Dutta, 85 yr old of Alipurduar died today in a nursing home at Matigara Siliguri
Dipali Gun, 66 yr old of Kadamtala Matigara Siliguri died today in a nursing home at Sevoke Road Siliguri
Namita Hore, 69 yr old of Deshbandhupara Siliguri died today in in a nursing home at Kawakhali Siliguri
38 in SMC:
38 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (34 in Darjeeling and 4 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive.
124 in Darjeeling district:
124 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 34 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
46 of the Hills (7 in Darjeeling Municipality, 8 in Kurseong Municipality, 9 in Mirik, 14 in Bijanbari, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 6 in Takdah)
44 of the plains (11 in Matigara, 6 in Naxalbari, 0 in Khoribari, 5 in Phansidewa, 22 in Sukuna) also test positive.
50 patients in NBMCH: (364 beds)
In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 50 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block there are 44 patients of which 12 are admitted in the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 8 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 8 in Covid Block III (Female Medicine II) and 5 in HDU (Trauma care centre) and 8 in surgical isolation ward.
Beside this 3 children are also admitted in the Pediatric Covid Block of NBMCH.
In addition to this during the last 24 hours, 6 serious patients are being treated in the two Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There is no patient in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 6 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and no patient in other Isolation ward -1.
119 Discharged:
119 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
