EXIT POLL for 292 of the 294 seats of West Bengal 

KalimNews, 29 April 21, Kalimpong: 10 exit polls predicted a victory to All India Trinamool Congress party and a third consecutive term as chief minister for Mamata Banerjee. As per their average calculation TMC will form the government with a minimum of 141 and maximum of 176 seats.

Six of the rest exit polls have projected a first-ever conquest of Bengal for the BJP with a maximum of 192 and minimum of 134 for the BJP.

Out of the 294 seats of West Bengal legislative assembly, election for the 292 seats were held in eight phases. The Election Commission of India had adjourned assembly election to Jangipur and Samserganj seats in the district of Murshidabad following deaths of two candidates. Revolutionary Socialist Party candidate from Jangipur, Pradip Nandi and Congress candidate from Samserganj died of Covid-19.

These two seats will go to polls on May 16, and the results for these two seats will be declared on May 19.

Trinamool Congress Candidate from Khardah Kajal Sinha also died of Covid-19 after the election was over. Khardaha in North 24 Parganas district voted in the sixth phase on April 22. 

A fourth candidate contesting the ongoing assembly polls in West Bengal amid the second Covid-19 wave Samir Ghosh, an independent candidate from Baisnabnagar in Malda district also died of Covid-19. Election for this was held on 29 April 2021 in the last and eighth phase .
