8 in Alipurduar, 122 in Coochbehar, 294 in Jalpaiguri, 147 in Uttar Dinajpur, 52 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 666 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 24 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:

5 Death:

Gopal Mishra, 50 yr old patient of Pradhan Nagar- Siliguri died today in Male Medicine Ward of NBMCH.

Savitri Rai, 75 yr old of Gurung Busty - Siliguri died today in RICU (Covid Ward) of NBMCH.

Kamal Kanta Sarkar, 93 yr old of Jalpaiguri died today in a nursing home at Parivawan Nagar Siliguri.

Dilip Chakraborty, 48 yr old of Panitanki Khoribari died today in a nursing home near Checkpost Siliguri.

A, 66 yr old woman (Mother of Indian Idol Prashant Tamang of Tungsung (stayed in Dali) Darjeeling Municipality, died today in Darjeeling Sadar Hospital.

213 in SMC:

213 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (167 in Darjeeling and 46 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

330 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 330 positive cases of the district, 167 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

39 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (6 in Darjeeling Municipality, 15 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Mirik, 4 in Bijanbari, 4 in Sukhiapokhari, 7 in Takdah).

124 of the plains (54 in Matigara, 48 in Naxalbari, 7 in Phansidewa, 15 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

During the last 48 hours 504 new cases, 146 release is reported from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 504 new cases,215262 confirmed cases of which 19541 have recovered and 212 died while 1773 are active cases.

23 in Kalimpong:

23 new cases, 8 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 23 new cases, 2418 confirmed cases of which 2293 have recovered, 28 died and 97 are active cases.

8 in Alipurduar:

8 new cases, 13 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 13 new cases, 8004 confirmed cases of which 7749 have recovered and 87 died while 168 are active cases. Alipurduar records 8 new cases, 8012 confirmed cases of which 7762 have recovered and 87 died while 163 are active cases.

122 in Coochbehar: 

122 new cases, 44 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 122 new cases, 12687 confirmed cases of which 12097 have recovered, 72 died and 518 are active cases.

294 in Jalpaiguri: 

294 new cases, 83 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 294 new cases, 16524 confirmed cases of which 175 died while 15333 have recovered and 1016 are active cases.

147 in Uttar Dinajpur:

147 new cases, 91 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 147 new cases, 8633 confirmed cases of which 79 died while 7414 have recovered and 1140 are active cases.

52 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

52 new cases, 37release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 52 new cases, 8933 confirmed cases of which 76 died while 8446 have recovered and 411 are active cases.

666 in Malda:  

666 new cases, 312 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 666 new cases, 18508 confirmed cases of which 14777 have recovered and 139 died and 3592 are active cases

29 Discharged:

29 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

78 patients in NBMCH

Out of total 78 patients 63 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 15 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 7 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and 3 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in surgical isolation ward. 

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 48 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 504 new cases,215262 confirmed cases of which 19541 have recovered and 212 died while 1773 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 23 new cases, 2418 confirmed cases of which 2293 have recovered, 28 died and 97 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 8 new cases, 8012 confirmed cases of which 7762 have recovered and 87 died while 163 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 122 new cases, 12687 confirmed cases of which 12097 have recovered, 72 died and 518 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 294 new cases, 16524 confirmed cases of which 175 died while 15333 have recovered and 1016 are active cases.
