4 death, 9 of Kalimpong, 343 of Darjeeling district, 25 of Darjeeling Hills, 141 of Plains, 251 of SMC tested positive, 76 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH

Out of 1402 tests done 19 tested positive, 63 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs- 

13 in Alipurduar, 115 in Coochbehar, 80 in Jalpaiguri, 269 in Uttar Dinajpur, 86 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 559 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 23 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

4 Death:

Mitali Biswas, 54 yr old patient of Milanpalli Siliguri died today in RICU (Covid Ward) of NBMCH (Her husband also had died of Covid-19 a few days ago).

Ram Prasad Sarkar, 43 yr old of Malbazar died today in a private nursing Home at Sevoke Road Siliguri.

Partha Roy, 52 yr old patient of New Milanpalli Siliguri died today in NBMCH.

Mustaq Ali, 48 yr old of Mal Bazar died today in NBMCH.

Death of 1 in Darjeeling, 1 in Alipurduar, 2 in Jalpaiguri, 1 in Dakshin Dinajpur and 3 in Malda recorded during the last 48 hours.

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar,  TOTAL= 1402

Of these 19 tested positive.

251 in SMC

251 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (177 in Darjeeling and 74 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

343 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 343 positive cases of the district, 177 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

25 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (10 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 4 in Mirik, 2 in Bijanbari, 6 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Takdah).

141 of the plains (58 in Matigara, 54 in Naxalbari, 9 in Khoribari, 4 in Phansidewa, 16 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

225 in Darjeeling:

During the last 48 hours 225 new cases, 127 release is reported from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 225 new cases,21022 confirmed cases of which 19395 have recovered and 211 died while 1416 are active cases.

Similarly 

9 in Kalimpong:

9 new cases, 9 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 9 new cases, 2395 confirmed cases of which 2285 have recovered, 28 died and 82 are active cases.

13 in Alipurduar:

13 new cases, 11 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 13 new cases, 8004 confirmed cases of which 7749 have recovered and 87 died while 168 are active cases.

115 in Coochbehar: 

115 new cases, 39 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 115 new cases, 12565 confirmed cases of which 12053 have recovered, 72 died and 440 are active cases.

80 in Jalpaiguri: 

80 new cases, 82 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 80 new cases, 16230 confirmed cases of which 173 died while 15250 have recovered and 807 are active cases.

269 in Uttar Dinajpur:

269 new cases, 86 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 269 new cases, 8486 confirmed cases of which 79 died while 7323 have recovered and 1084 are active cases.

86 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

86 new cases, 33 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 86 new cases, 8881 confirmed cases of which 76 died while 8409 have recovered and 396 are active cases.

559 in Malda:  

559 new cases, 286 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 559 new cases, 17842 confirmed cases of which 14465 have recovered and 134 died and 3243 are active cases.

63 Discharged:

63 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

76 patients in NBMCH

Out of total 76 patients 62 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 14 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 6 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and 3 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in Surgical isolation ward. 

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 48 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 225 new cases,21022 confirmed cases of which 19395 have recovered and 211 died while 1416 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 9 new cases, 2395 confirmed cases of which 2285 have recovered, 28 died and 82 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 13 new cases, 8004 confirmed cases of which 7749 have recovered and 87 died while 168 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 115 new cases, 12565 confirmed cases of which 12053 have recovered, 72 died and 440 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 80 new cases, 16230 confirmed cases of which 173 died while 15250 have recovered and 807 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur records 269 new cases, 8486 confirmed cases of which 79 died while 7323 have recovered and 1084 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur records 86 new cases, 8881 confirmed cases of which 76 died while 8409 have recovered and 396 are active cases.
