3 death, 19 of Kalimpong, 239 of Darjeeling district, 12 of Darjeeling Hills, 111 of Plains, 138 of SMC, tested positive, 58 admitted in Covid unit of NBMCH

Out of 2545  tests done 332 tested positive, 22 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs- 

30 in Alipurduar, 60 in Coochbehar, 180 in Jalpaiguri, 135 in Uttar Dinajpur, 90 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 418 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

3 Death:

Debashis Biswas, 60 yr old patient of Milanpalli Siliguri died today in a Nursing Home. 

Bishnu Ghose, 63 yr old patient of Subhaspalli Siliguri died today in CCU (Covid ward) of NBMCH. 

Gauri Dey, 50 yr old patient of Jyotinagar Colony Siliguri died today in RICU of NBMCH. 

Death of 1 each in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri and 4 in Malda recorded in the last 48 hours.

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 1367, Kalimpong- 152, Jalpaiguri –720, Alipurduar-306,  TOTAL= 2545

Of these 332  Darjeeling- (185), Kalimpong-(13), Jalpaiguri –(112), Alipurduar- (22) tested positive.

138 in SMC

138 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (116 in Darjeeling and 22 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

239 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 239 positive cases of the district, 116 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

12 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 4 in Kurseong Municipality,  3 in Mirik,  1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Bijanbari).

111 of the plains (60 in Naxalbari, 27 in Matigara, 9 in Phansidewa, 5 in Khoribari, 10 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

During the last 48 hours 260 new cases, 81 release is reported from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 260 new cases,20247 confirmed cases of which 19064 have recovered and 207 died while 976 are active cases.

19 in Kalimpong:

19 new cases, 7 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 19 new cases, 2363 confirmed cases of which 2260 have recovered, 28 died and 75 are active cases.

30 in Alipurduar:

30 new cases, 9 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 30 new cases, 7902 confirmed cases of which 7716 have recovered and 86 died while 100 are active cases.

60 in Coochbehar: 

60 new cases, 24 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 60 new cases, 12295 confirmed cases of which 11948 have recovered, 72 died and 275 are active cases.

180 in Jalpaiguri: 

180 new cases, 53 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 180 new cases, 15847 confirmed cases of which 168 died while 15027 have recovered and 652 are active cases.

135 in Uttar Dinajpur:

135 new cases, 66 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 135 new cases, 7869 confirmed cases of which 79 died while 7098 have recovered and 692 are active cases.

90 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

90 new cases, 28 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 90 new cases, 8714 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8311 have recovered and 329 are active cases.

418 in Malda:  

418 new cases, 171 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 418 new cases, 16362 confirmed cases of which 13751 have recovered and 125 died and 2486 are active cases.

22 Discharged:

22 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

58 patients in NBMCH

Out of total 58 patients 49 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 9 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 5 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and 2 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in Surgical isolation ward. 

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 260 new cases,20247 confirmed cases of which 19064 have recovered and 207 died while 976 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 19 new cases, 2363 confirmed cases of which 2260 have recovered, 28 died and 75 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 30 new cases, 7902 confirmed cases of which 7716 have recovered and 86 died while 100 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 60 new cases, 12295 confirmed cases of which 11948 have recovered, 72 died and 275 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 180 new cases, 15847 confirmed cases of which 168 died while 15027 have recovered and 652 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur records 135 new cases, 7869 confirmed cases of which 79 died while 7098 have recovered and 692 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur records 90 new cases, 8714 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8311 have recovered and 329 are active cases.
